Pam............a very special lady.

Where do I begin to related what special times, dinner parties, holidays and well just having you and Gerry as very special friends is beyond words. In our particular friendship circle there was the four of us...Me and Annette and Pam & Gerry. As a group of four it goes back many years when Pam met Annette working at the Town Hall. It wasn't long before the friendship between Annette and Pam widened to include myself and Gerry. It was like the lighting of a blue touch paper....and then the rocket took off !!

Our dinner parties were infamous sharing each other company, life, jokes and well just great banter, obviously supported with an range of alcoholic drinks just to lubricate the throat of course. These dinner parties would go on into the early hours, and there was a slight element of trying to make each dinner party a bit more special than the last one....one that will always stay with me was when Pam and Gerry put on a Medieval Night... which even included a set of stocks ...a really great night to remember. Then there were the holidays we shared in Tenerife on a number of occasions, plus a Caribbean Cruise and even a Safari in Kenya, such wonderful times and so many memories. Also were the more grand occasions of going to the Wardroom Ball be it Christmas or the Summer Ball a time to get dress up and enjoy such very special times, the picture below was taken at Christmas 2012, sadly it would be the last one that we were able to attend together...think the picture tells it own story and what fun times we all shared together.

Life sadly moves on and as  like many families we sometime loose are loved ones and special friends that we greatly miss. We all handle grief and lost in different ways and now I take the positives out of life such as the wonderful times we shared and I am forever grateful that for many years we all had a special bond with each other that no one can take away and one that I will treasure always.
